    How it all started

That’s The One began with a simple frustration, planning a wedding involved too many tools, too many moving parts and far too much admin. When I got engaged in 2020, I couldn’t believe how painful and outdated the experience was. There had to be a better way.

Over the next five years, we worked hand in hand with planners to build an all-in-one planning platform; a space where they could collaborate with couples and vendors and bring incredible events to life with less stress.

From the early days in our Paddington office, with Bunny the office dog never far away, to meeting planners face-to-face, shadowing real weddings and spending countless days and nights on Google Meets, every idea was tested, challenged and refined before it became part of the product.

There were some incredible highs (launching at the Eiffel Tower with Colin Cowie was definitely one of them) as well as plenty of late nights and lessons learned along the way.

TTO has supported thousands of weddings and events across more than 40 countries, becoming a trusted solution for professional planners, couples and their guests. The platform has helped manage more than a million guests, built an in-app network of over 6,500 venues and suppliers, and tracked more than $40 million in payments.

    What’s next for TTO

I’ve always wanted That’s The One to help create a more connected events industry. Helium immediately understood the value of what we had built and shared our conviction about where the industry is heading.

Earlier this year, Helium acquired Maroo, the business management and payments platform built for the weddings and events industry. I was impressed by the speed at which the team moved Maroo’s product forward, and it showed me what Helium could bring to TTO’s next chapter. With their experience behind it, TTO has an exciting opportunity to keep developing, support more planners and expand its presence in the US.

Over the past few months, we’ve worked closely with Helium to make the transition as smooth as possible for our customers and partners. Rohit, Helium’s CEO, has led the process with transparency and genuine respect for our users, our team and everything we’ve built. That has given us real confidence that That’s The One is in the right hands.

I’m incredibly proud of the team behind TTO and the impact our work has had on planners and their clients. Thank you to our investors for their patience and support and to every planner, partner and team member who played a part in building TTO. We built something real that planners around the world chose to use and I’m excited for its future ahead.
